Since Abkhazia is a self-proclaimed republic, I wonder if it required a visa before you went there. If so, where did you get it?
AntwortenLöschenNo, we didn't need a visa for Abkhazia.
AntwortenLöschenReason: We were not in Abkhazia (next to Russia), but in Adjara (next to Turkey)
Adjara has some autonomy status, but is no self-proclaimed republich and has a peaceful relation with the main state Georgia.
What language have you used for communicating with locals in Georgia?
AntwortenLöschenI speak some Russian, which was quite helpful. Most people still speak some Russian. I think with English it's also OK, but fewer people speek English than Russian.
